NEON TUBES

Neon tubes are rather basic: a sealed vacuum glass tube containing a small quantity of extremely pure noble gas with metal terminals (electrodes) in each end.
Once a high voltage current hits the electrodes, the gas in the tube lights up evenly and brightly. The noble gas in a neon tube is usually Neon (shines red) or Argon (shines blue). Krypton and Xenon are also used to a lesser extent.

Depending on the application, neon tubes with diameters of 8, 10, 12, 15, 18 or 20 mm are used. Straight neon tubes can be bent into the desired shape at high temperatures. To achieve various colours, a luminophore layer may be used on the inner surface of the tube; alternatively, glass of various hues may also be used. By combining these variations, over 100 different hues can be achieved.

Thanks to the flexibility of the material, the application area of a neon tube is wide indeed: lit advert letters, neon signs and texts, special effects, architectural lighting, and even art projects.

All neon tubes are handmade according to the needs of the customer.
